This is the fourth consecutive year we have been privileged to come down to La Ceiba, Honduras. It is such a blessing to minister to, and serve alongside our missionary Heather Braden de Maradiaga, her husband Rigo and our friends-the staff at Great Commission Latin America church. Yesterday was the smoothest our trip has ever gone. This is something to be grateful for indeed. There are so many things that have the potential to go awry: overweight bags, airport security, delayed or canceled flights, Honduran customs and the "exciting" drive from San Pedro Sula to La Ceiba. Thankfully God chose to gift us with a seamless trip. We arrived to the home of one of the Pastors, where we're staying until around 5:00 pm. We were able to take a short nap, which we needed after being up through the night. Around 6:30 we had supper with our hosts. Once again I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and generosity by our Honduran friends. As a culture, they are loving and friendly. Add to that innate love they already posses culturally, and the deep bond rooted in the gospel; this side of heaven I don't think there is a better example of hospitality. Pray for us as we seek to minister alongside of them and offer a fresh perspective in dealing with their daily challenges.
